Nine NBL1 stars have flown over to Japan to represent the Australian Opals for the Mitsui Fudosan Cup this weekend.

Representatives from the Olympic squad of 26 will take on the silver medallists from the Tokyo Olympics in preparation for Paris later this year. 

With WNBA players unavailable due to the ongoing season, nine NBL1 stars from three different conferences will take on Japan.

Many of these stars also toured with the Opals during their tour of Brazil in February and of China at the start of June. 

The games will not be televised but will take place on June 20 and June 21, from 9:00pm AEST on both days at the Hokkaido Sports Center.
