NBL1 South Update - Basketball Ballarat

Following the announcement of a seven-day lockdown in Victoria, the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush home games against Nunawading Spectres at the Ballarat Sports Events Centre have been postponed.

Following the announcement of a seven-day lockdown in Victoria, the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush home games against Nunawading Spectres at the Ballarat Sports Events Centre have been postponed.
Basketball Victoria and NBL1 South have agreed to postpone all NBL1 South games scheduled to be played in Victoria in Round 7 this weekend.
Friday night’s games between the Hobart Chargers and Mount Gambier Pioneers and Saturday night’s games between the Launceston Tornadoes/North West Thunder and Pioneers will proceed as scheduled. Those games will be played in Tasmania.
All other games scheduled for Round 7 have been postponed until later in the season.
We are fully supportive of the seven-day lockdown and the evidence shows that they do work which gives us all the confidence that things will bounce back immediately.
More information regarding tickets to this game will be communicated in due course.
Basketball Ballarat apologise for any inconvenience caused, but like all events of this nature, we are subject to the ever changing and unpredictable COVID-19 landscape.
Our Round 8 NBL1 South Home Game on Saturday June 5th against Kilsyth will proceed as normal under the direction of the State Government. Corporate Partners who are booked to attend next week’s game will be contacted tomorrow as planned seeking guest names.
