NBL1 South Round 6 – OneFortyOne Pioneers Game Review

The OneFortyOne Pioneers suffered a narrow 82–78 loss to the Hobart Chargers on Friday night at Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre in a hard-fought Round 6 contest.
 
Despite trailing by six points at quarter time, the OneFortyOne Pioneers continued to respond throughout the evening and remained within striking distance across all four quarters. The home side produced an improved second half performance and briefly held the lead during the final term before Hobart executed late to secure the result.
 
Lara Edmanson delivered another standout performance for the OneFortyOne Pioneers, finishing with 29 points and 11 rebounds while shooting efficiently inside the paint. Edmanson consistently provided offensive momentum and was a major contributor throughout the contest.
 
Eva Langton also made an important impact with 14 points, including several timely baskets, while Ti’Ian Boler added 17 points and connected on three shots from beyond the arc.
 
The OneFortyOne Pioneers created strong defensive pressure throughout the night, recording nine steals while also winning the rebounding battle 48–44. Carla Pittman contributed across multiple areas with six assists and three steals, while Abigail Prohaska collected nine rebounds and provided strong defensive support.
 
Hobart was led offensively by Tishara Morehouse with 26 points, while Sharna Thompson added 24 points including six three-pointers. Tyia Singleton controlled the glass for the Chargers with 16 rebounds alongside 14 points.
 
The game remained tight throughout the final quarter, with the lead changing hands multiple times in the closing minutes. The OneFortyOne Pioneers were able to build a late four-point advantage before Hobart responded through key baskets and defensive stops to close out the game.
 
While the result did not fall their way, the OneFortyOne Pioneers again showed resilience and competitiveness against quality opposition as they continue their 2026 NBL1 South campaign.
