The Mitsubishi Motors NBL1, its clubs and conferences will celebrate the rich history of Australian state basketball this week in the inaugural Heritage Round.

The Round will feature several traditional and regional rivalries, as the clubs and conferences celebrate their historic roots.

The NBL’s partnership with the state governing bodies has seen unprecedented growth in our 74 clubs and 145 teams across the country under the NBL1 platform, but the rivalries run much deeper than NBL1’s short history.

The round will celebrate the families, communities and members who make each club special.

“There is unbelievable history in State League basketball across Australia and we look forward to seeing teams match up against others where that history runs deep.” General Manager Dean Anglin said.

“Since the start of the NBL1 in 2019, we’ve featured clubs with decades of history and we are looking forward to reflecting on what makes our competition such a special collection of communities.”

83 games will take place across the five conferences this coming weekend, streaming live and free via NBL1.com.au, NBL1 App and Kayo Freebies.
