Basketball South Australia has officially announced that the Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 Central Grand Finals will be returning to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in 2026.

Following a record attendance in 2025, the venue will play host to South Australia's best NBL1 outfits on Saturday August 8, as they compete to take home this year's championship.

NBL1 Central League Manager and Basketball SA Operations Manager Tom Mitchell touched on the excitement around the event's return to the venue, and how well-suited it is to such an important occasion.

“We are excited to bring the NBL1 Central Grand Finals back to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, a venue that perfectly reflects the quality and prestige of our competition," Mitchell said.

"The atmosphere, the fans, and the on-court action make this the pinnacle of South Australian basketball. We can’t wait to welcome the community to celebrate the culmination of another outstanding season.”

Last year's event saw the Woodville Warriors taking out an eight-point victory over the Sturt Sabres in the Women's Grand Final, before the West Adelaide Bearcats defeated the Central Districts Lions by 10 points in the men's decider.

Tickets for this year's event will go on sale to the public soon. Stay tuned to the NBL1 and NBL1 Central social media pages and website for more details as they come.
