Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners players Matt Kenyon & Jock Perry will join the Tasmania JackJumpers at the end of the NBL1 South Campaign in what will be the team’s inaugural season in the NBL.

Kenyon said “I am extremely excited to join The JackJumpers for this next NBL season. It has been a crazy journey to get back here after being in the league when I was 18 and I couldn’t be happier to sign with Tassie.“

Kenyon has been a key player in the 2021 NBL1 South Season for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners in what has been a Covid-19 effected season, with hope the fans can see both Matt and the team hit the court again this season.

“The season with ballarat has been challenging with the stop start season that it’s been due to Covid but I have still really enjoyed my time here. I love the group we have here and it’s been a lot of fun learning from Brendan” Kenyon added.

Perry joined the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners immediately after his college season came to an end in the US with UC Riverside.

Perry said “I'm really excited to join the JackJumpers after this NBL1 Season, Brendan and all the team really pushed me to continue to get better and helped me to reach my goal of signing in the NBL.”

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, Perry had to quarantine once he landed back in Australia for 14 days before joining the team for the double-header trip in Tasmania back in Round 2.

“I've loved my time in Ballarat, being able to play infront of my family every week was special, especially my Nan who's lived in Ballarat her whole life and hasn't seen me play since I moved to America. Really looking forward to finishing this season off right and hope to see all the fans back in the stadium soon” Perry added.

The Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush would like to congratulate Matt & Jock on their signings with the Tasmania JackJumpers.
