The Dandenong Rangers have announced the signing of Marena Whittle for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

Returning to the conference for the first time since 2023, when she completed a third consecutive season with the Ringwood Hawks, Whittle will join off the back of a FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup campaign with the Gangurrus.

An NBL1 South Champion and Grand Final MVP with the Hawks in 2022, as well as a two-time member of the NBL1 South All-Star Five, Whittle is no stranger to competing with the best the conference has to offer. 

She will bring plenty of firepower to a Rangers side currently led by the career-best form of Imogen Rock, and new import signing Adrianna Smith who starred with two huge performances over the weekend. 

Averaging 27.3 points for the Hawks in their 2022 championship-winning campaign, Whittle put up some enormous performances. However, none were more important than her 33-point, 19-rebound display in the Grand Final against Bendigo which saw her claim Grand Final MVP honours.
