The Mandurah Magic have begun building their 2021 NBL1 West roster with the signing of five players in Jerami Grace, Carly Boag, Ben Smith, Riley Parker and Rachel Halleen.
Grace is the son of Perth Wildcats NBL legend Ricky Grace and will try to use NBL1 as a launching pad into the NBL. In the 2019 SBL season Grace played five games with the Magic and averaged 13 points per game. Grace has also spent time with the Adelaide 36ers as a training player.
Boag is coming off a 2020 WNBL campaign with the Sydney Uni Flames where she played 14.7 minutes per game. She joins Halleen on the women’s team, who averaged 10.8 points and 5.4 rebounds for the Magic in the 2020 West Coast Classic season.
Both Smith and Parker are set to play vital roles in Mandurah’s quest for the 2021 NBL1 West championship.
