Lewis and Dennis join Hawks in NBL1 West

The Perry Lakes Hawks have signed Lewis Thomas (men) and Maddy Dennis (women) for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

Thomas played for the Geelong Supercats in the 2019 NBL1 season and was a strong contributor, averaging 15.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. In 2020 he went out west playing for the Willetton Tigers in the West Coast Classic (WCC), amassing 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

The Hawks have signed Thomas, Ben Purser, Rob Cassir and Andrew Ferguson to their men’s team for the 2021 season.

Dennis returns to Perry Lakes after playing with them in the WCC. She has won bronze at the FIBA U19 World Championship in 2015, has represented WA in the Australian Junior Championships in 2012 and 2015 and played college basketball with the University of Dayton.

Dennis joins Annika Renkema, Nat Burton and Megan McKay on the Hawks’ women’s roster.
