Basketball are thrilled to announce that Lake Health Group have extended their partnership for 2021.

Director or Lake Health Group Michael Pierce was looking forward to continuing the partnership with Basketball Ballarat.

"We are very excited to continue partnering with Basketball Ballarat for yet another year. We are proud to be a local business supporting another Ballarat based business and Sporting Club, especially one that supports not just elite sporting pursuits but grass roots sport as well as up and coming juniors. We like to give back to the community that has supported us, and love nothing more than watching one of our own physios in Tharindu support the Ballarat Miners and Rush." Pierce said.

Partnership Manager of Basketball Ballarat Andrew Day welcomed the extension from Lake Health Group for a further year.

"We are very thankful to Michael and his team for their continued support of the Elite Teams program here at Basketball Ballarat. To be aligned with such a positive community minded organisation we are looking forward to working closely together to support our athletes moving forward." Day said.

Tharindu Ranabahu from Lake Health Group will also continue as Physiotherapist for both the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush.

"I'm excited about being back with the miners & rush teams and helping our athletes getting the most out of themselves. I'm in a privileged position where I can do something I'm passionate about and be a small part in these athletes journey as well as the impact Ballarat basketball has on the wider Ballarat community.  I can't wait to see both teams back on court and the unbelievable support they receive from our community." Ranabahu said.

On behalf of Basketball Ballarat and the Elite Teams program we'd like to thank Michael and his team at Lake Health Group for their continued support in 2021.

About Lake Health Group

Lake Health Group has been operating in Ballarat since 2002 and remains committed to high quality evidence-based practice and patient centered care for all our clients and stakeholders. Lake Health Group have 5 key values; teamwork, respect, responsibility, authenticity and industry which underpin and determine how we approach all aspects of our work and community involvement.

As a team we pride ourselves on providing our patients with informed best practice pathways of care. We also believe in preventative health and assisting in adjusting the way people undertake everyday activities to assist in decreasing the likelihood of sustaining an injury and having time off work or recreation. We work on a model of providing appointments of a generous length to ensure we provide the best quality of care during our treatments and ensure we have the time to understand the needs of the client and then develop an injury management plan for the client to assist in maximising treatment and recovery. This an expectation of all Lake Health Group physiotherapists.

All Lake Health Group therapists undertake regular professional development and are supported by the clinic to undertake further study and development ensuring they are up to date with the latest evidence and research and are all accredited and registered with the appropriate and relevant professional bodies. We have strong relationships with Sovereign Radiology, Ballarat Health Services Radiology, Lake Imaging and Ballarat Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. We also have therapists who lecture at the ACU and La Trobe University physiotherapy schools.

As a multi-disciplinary Allied Health Clinic, we have access to other specialised services which include Podiatry, Myotherapy, Remedial Massage as well as exercise therapy in our fully equipped rehabilitation gym.
