Kiwi Collins joins Goldfields

The Goldfields Giants are excited to announce the signing of New Zealand 6'8" forward/centre Dion Collins for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

Collins has previously played in the American college basketball system with Culver-Stockton College in Missouri, and recently finished his first professional season in Sweden.

After 31 games over two seasons at Culver-Stockton, Collins averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game for the Lulea Steelers in the northern Swedish city of Lulea in the 2019-2020 season. He was set to return to Sweden again at the end of this year, however the COVID situation in Europe made him decide to play a little closer to home, and the Giants will be the beneficiary of that decision.

It is anticipated that Collins will relocate to Kalgoorlie early in the new year.

Collins joins Tom Atkinson, Majier Garang Iii and Julian Pesava on Goldfields' roster for the 2021 NBL1 West season.
