KD IS BACK TO TAKE THE EXTRA STEP

As soon as Kyle Daggett's 3-point shot bounced off the rim ending the Hawks playoff dreams in the last game of the season last year, the big American was ready to re-sign for another season.
This week, the popular Daggett will arrive back in Ringwood, in great shape and ready to lead from the front.
"It was a tough season and we didn't have much luck in 2022 but it was still a great experience and I wanted to come back for sure." Daggett said from his home in Maryland.
"I have been working hard in the off season and hopefully you will see an improved player this year."
Daggett was impressive in his rookie season in the NBL1 averaging close to 16, points and 9 rebounds a game but showed the ability to provide more when needed. At 6'7 with the rare combination of strength and athleticism, his ability to play inside and outside is something Damien Smith will take advantage of depending on matchups.
"Kyle is a high IQ player and a quality person,he is hard working and always team first." Hawks Coach Damien Smith said.
"We will need him at his best and I think he will be even better than last year. We are excited to get him here, Kyle is in for a great season for us."
After his 20 plus hour travel itinerary, Daggett is due to arrive this Wednesday, will hit the court on Thursday night for his first practice. He will then hit the road on Saturday and join the Hawks in a pre-season game at Wonthaggi Stadium against the Frankston Blues.
The Hawks will be in Wonthaggi for the day running clinics in the afternoon before the Men and Women take the court. Tickets are available via the link below. Kyle Daggett NBL1 NBL1 South Wonthaggi Basketball
