Jemma Amoore joins Sacramento State

Ballarat Miner Jemma Amoore is set for a college career in the States after announcing she will join Sacramento State. 

After an impressive 16-game NBL1 season with the Miners, Jemma is now ready to tackle her next adventure. Having had her eyes set on the college system for a while now she is excited to be able to turn this into reality and head over to Sacramento.

"I've wanted to head for a long time, and this will really help take my game to a new level.“

"The coach has had a lot of experience in the NCAA and I know that he'll be able to help me improve my skill. It's definitely going to be tough, but I see a lot of improvement to come.

"I want to play the true point guard, running the floor, getting everyone sorted and being the facilitator more. Also finding my shots when I can, still having that aggressive mentality."

Jemma will head over in June next year and it’s unsure yet if she will take the floor for the Miners again before she departs. We wish Jemma all the best and look forward to following and sharing her journey.
