Ironmonger re-signs with the Wolves for 2021

The Joondalup Wolves have announced the re-signing of Ben Ironmonger for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

The Joondalup Wolves have announced the re-signing of Ben Ironmonger for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

Ironmonger is a 6’1” point guard and is a loyal member of the Wolfpack. In 2020, Ironmonger maintained a FIFO job and stayed committed to the Wolves. Ironmonger will be reaching his 150-game milestone during the 2021 NBL1 West season.

“It’s great to be back with the Wolves again for 2021 and I am excited to get back in Wolfpack Green once again," Ironmonger said.

"I’ve always been with the Wolfpack so it’s always a privilege to play and represent our club and there would be no greater way to do that then taking out the first season of NBL1 as champions.”

Joondalup CEO and men’s coach Andrew Summerville shared his thoughts about Ironmonger re-signing to the Wolves in 2021.

“After an interrupted 2020 due to Ben’s FIFO job, it is great that Ben can recommit to 2021," Summerville said.

"Ben is such a valuable piece to our puzzle. I didn’t realise how much I loved Benny until he wasn’t there. In the West Coast Classic Ben could only play a handful of games, but when he was around things went a lot smoother and we seemed to have more control.

"He is a great leader, level-headed and nothing seems to phase him. He is a cool customer and a pleasure to have around the team. It helps that he has a knack for hitting some big shots when we need it too.”

Ironmonger will be joining Lochlan Cummings, Seb Salinas, Reece Maxwell, Joel Vaiangina, Hamish Warden, Jordan Wellsteed and Jonathan Wade on the Wolves men’s 2021 roster.
