In a major announcement for Basketball Ballarat, Hotondo Homes Ballarat have extended their Partnership which will see them remain as Naming Rights Partner of the Senior Men’s Team and known as the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners until at least the end of 2022 NBL1 South Season.

As an established brand within the Australian Building landscape, Hotondo Homes Ballarat are a leading local builder across the Ballarat Region with over 25 years of experience providing quality service and support throughout their entire building process.

In what has been a tumultuous year for the sporting industry, this announcement is a positive step forward for Basketball in Ballarat and the Western Region, which Partnership Manager Andrew Day said he could not be any more pleased with.

“This is a significant announcement for the Miners and with such a great local company in Hotondo Homes Ballarat understanding our vision and wanting to continue working with us in growing and developing basketball across the region, we are simply thrilled to continue this partnership for a further two seasons.” Day said.

“It is a real testament to Adrian, Amira, Brenton and Lisa from Hotondo Homes Ballarat with all the challenges that are in the economy at the moment and the difficulties that sport in general are experiencing, so to see this commitment to our programs shows the confidence they see in the growth of sport” Day said.

Owner of Hotondo Homes Ballarat Amira Willingham was delighted to make the announcement on Thursday at the Ballarat Sports Events Centre.

“We are thrilled to be extending the relationship with the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners, from the beginning, the partnership was a fantastic alliance.  Hotondo Homes Ballarat have staff that have children that play and enjoy basketball.”

“Both Hotondo Homes Ballarat and the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners are extremely community focused and want to see the Ballarat community as a whole prosper.” Willingham said.

It is this community focus that Hotondo Homes Ballarat continues to show and is a brand that Basketball Ballarat are proud to align themselves with.

“This year has hit our local community but Ballarat’s ability to come together and support each other is something that brings us pride.  We love Ballarat and being able to support it to flourish and become not only an amazing place to live but a vibrant and successful community brings us so much joy.  We will endeavour to support the community in any way we possibly can.” Willingham said.

The partnership extents even further with the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush supporting the aligned charity partner of Hotondo Homes, the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Annually both NBL1 South Teams wear a special ‘City Edition’ Jersey which are sold to the public with proceeds going directly the foundation.

“To be able to raise awareness and funds for such an amazing cause was absolutely fantastic.  Our first Make-A-Wish City-Edition Game went above and beyond our expectations and we cannot wait to begin the process for the next game in 2021.  Make-A-Wish is such an amazing charity that provides ill children with wishes and delivers them joy and happiness is a very difficult time.” Willingham ended with.

Basketball Ballarat would like to extend their appreciation to Hotondo Homes Ballarat for their continued support of the elite teams programs. Selkirk will also remain the Naming Rights Partner to the Ballarat Rush until at least the end of 2021.
