Head Coaches announced for Men’s Youth League

Central Highlands Water Ballarat Miners Youth are pleased to announce the re-appointment of Ryan McKew and Daniel Knaggs as Head Co-Coaches for the 2021 BigV Youth Championship Season.
After a successful 2019 Season where Daniel Knaggs Coached the Men’s Team to the BigV Youth League Division Championship win with Ryan McKew as his Assistant Coach, 2020 would of seen the team transition into the Champ Division before the Covid-19 Pandemic ultimately cancelled the season however the Co-Coaches will return to the court in 2021 with high aspirations.

McKew was looking forward to stepping up as Co-Coach for the 2021 Season alongside Knaggs.
“I’m really excited to be back with Daniel [Knaggs] for the 2021 season, we have been fortunate to have success over the few years working together and hopefully we can develop the next group of Youth League athletes to a high standard and continue the overall success of the club.” McKew said.

In 2019 the Youth League team had one of their best seasons in their history ending the year with 23 wins and 4 losses before winning the best of three finals series with victory at the Minerdome in front of a passionate Ballarat crowd.
“We will endeavour to attack the 2021 season, with a thirst for competition that we have cultivated and evolved the previous 2 years. We will work hard in the process to bring an exciting, competitive, high paced, basketball spectacle to the Championship Youth League Men and at our home court.” Knaggs said.
The Central Highlands Water Ballarat Miners Rush Youth Teams will commence pre-season training ahead of the 2021 BigV Championship Youth Season once further Covid-19 restrictions ease. The Women’s Head Coach will be announced in the coming weeks.
