Gaze & Sclater return to lead Tigers

The Melbourne Tigers have re-signed Head Coaches Andrew Gaze and  Kaleb Sclater for the 2027 NBL1 South season.

Andrew Gaze will return as Head Coach of the Melbourne Tigers Men’s team for the 2027 NBL1 South season.
Gaze led the Tigers to the 2026 NBL1 South minor premiership, with Melbourne finishing first on the ladder at 17–5 before its campaign concluded in the Preliminary Final.

The former Australian Boomer and NBL legend has led the Tigers’ NBL1 South Men’s program since 2022, continuing a long connection with the club as both a player and coach.

Kaleb Sclater has also re-signed and will return as Head Coach of the Tigers’ Women’s team in 2027.

Sclater guided Melbourne to the 2026 finals, with the Tigers finishing eighth on the NBL1 South Women’s ladder at 13–9.

The returning coaches provide continuity across both programs as Melbourne prepares for the 2027 NBL1 South season.
