Saturday: Round 3, South Adelaide Panthers vs North Adelaide Rockets
Men’s live from 6:30pm
With the men’s game tipping off first, Alex Starling and his Panthers will be the perfect warm-up for the game ahead.
Evolving from more than just back-to-back Best Defensive Player, Starling is proving once again that he can score as well as he’s able to defend. He’s tied for the second-most three-pointers made so far and is averaging 32 points a game heading into Round 3.

His Panthers will take on the Rockets, who despite their talent, are 0-2 coming into the weekend. The duo of Koop McCalop and Durrell McDonald should scare any team – their pick-and-roll will keep the Rockets in any game.
Women’s live from 8:15pm ACDT
With two teams looking to make a strong finals push, the re-match of the Elimination Final should be a treat for all fans of basketball.
The Rockets have been carried by Brooke Basham so far, while the club has been awaiting the return of 3x3 star Lauren Mansfield. In two games, she’s averaged 21 points, 7.5 rebounds and five assists, and given the team a 2-0 buffer while undermanned.

After the pair had a combined 23 points in the Elimination Final last year, they’ll be hungry to redeem themselves on Saturday night.
For the Panthers, all eyes will be on Ashleigh ‘Splash’ Spencer. Who is coming off an uncharacteristic seven points last round, and will be ready to course-correct her shooting.
Friday: Round 2, Eastern Suns vs East Perth Eagles
Women’s live from 6:30pm AWST
In a premier Friday night match-up, the Suns will host the Eagles in what should be a great showing of local Western Australian talent.
East Perth was competitive in Round 1 against the Warwick Senators, falling short due to a nuclear 37 points from Stacey Barr. The player to keep an eye on is Mary Goulding, in her first game back after a coma, she returned with a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds off the bench – showing the ‘sky is the limit’ once again for the Tall Fern.
The Eastern Suns fell victim to the Perry Lakes Hawks in the 46-125 showing at home. While they struggled from start to finish, their second-quarter burst of 17 points was promising for this young squad.
Men’s live from 8:30pm AWST
The Eagles had a strong showing in Round 1, playing against the Warwick Senators as they held strong in the 83-97 loss. Featuring a new key piece in Sunday Dech, the team will be ready to improve after last season’s 12th-placed finish.
On the other side, the Eastern Suns were unlucky to get past the Hawks – losing 82-87 at home. With a strong core of locals and led by import Bryan Michaels, the Suns will have a chance to win any game with their underdog status.
Saturday: Round 1, Sydney Comets vs Albury Wodonga Bandits
Women’s live from 5:30pm AEDT
To open the NBL1 East season, fans will be excited to see what the Albury-Wodonga Bandits core of Lauren Jackson, Ash Hannan and All-Star Five member Mikayla Pivec looks like on the floor together.
Touted as championship favourites, they’ll be taking on the Sydney Comets – coming off the back of their first season and their first Finals appearance for the women’s side.
In the off-season, they’ve added NBL1 North star Davida Dale and retained two young guns in Piper Anderson and Jada Crawshaw.
Men’s live from 7:30pm AEDT
Saturday night will be the battle of the NBL guards. With Illawarra Hawks duo Biwali Bayles signing with his junior club, the Sydney Comets, and William Hickey signing with the Bandits this offseason.
The Comets are set for a bigger year, after finding their feet in their inaugural NBL1 season. They have retained seven-footer Johnny Crnogorac and added former Adelaide 36ers’ Oby Kyei to the squad.
While at the border, the Bandits added former Hills Hornet import and dunking machine Shawn Montague – giving the team an x-factor in any game.

Saturday: Round 1, Kilsyth Cobras vs Knox Raiders
Women’s live from 5:30pm AEDT
Both teams made their season debuts on Wednesday night, with the Raiders conquering Sandringham, and Kilsyth struggling to get past Ringwood.
2022 Conference MVP Alicia Froling came out the gate firing, scoring 31 points with 16 rebounds in the five-point win. Knox has a talented core of players alongside Froling, with WNBL forwards Kiera Rowe and Paige Bradley, as well as former Cavalier Rachel Bell.

They’ll take on the Cobras at home, who will be ready to rally after their loss on Wednesday and get their first win of the season in front of their home crowd.
Keep an eye on Kilysth stalwart and microwave scorer Nikita Young – who had a team-high 15 points to open the season.
Men’s live from 7:30pm AEDT
The national champions started the season with a win and a new-look team, while KJ Feagin is still running the show with a game-high 26 points against Sandringham. He’ll be now playing alongside Melbourne United forwards Kyle Bowen and Malith Machar to give the team a new angle in 2024.
On the other side, former South East Melbourne Phoenix captain Kyle Adnam has returned to his junior club, the Kilsyth Cobras. In his first NBL1 game, he had 23 points and three assists, showing some growing pains against Ringwood.
