The Rockingham Flames ignited against the East Perth Eagles 115-94 on Friday evening at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.
The Flames caught fire early behind the stellar play of Isaac White and Emmett Naar, who combined for 53 points. Naar was particularly efficient, shooting a scorching 80 percent from the field while adding six assists and eight boards. Rockingham's ball movement was exceptional, dishing out 31 assists compared to East Perth's 21, leading to a 54-44 advantage in points in the paint. The visitors also capitalized in transition, outscoring the Eagles 27-19 on fast breaks.
Despite the loss, Max Rice led East Perth with 19 points including five triples, while Taylor Young added 18 points and six steals. The Eagles struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 29 percent compared to Rockingham's 42 percent. Though East Perth crashed the offensive glass with 14 rebounds to Rockingham's eight, they couldn't convert those opportunities into enough points to keep pace with the Flames' efficient offense.
