The evening at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre got underway with the Eagles women on top of the Senators most of the night before the game ended up in overtime, and East Perth prevailed 100-94.
That led into the men's contest and after East Perth shook off a first half barrage from new Warwick big man Will Tschetter, they worked on top inspired by Antonio in the third quarter for the 104-82 victory to wrap up the night.

WOMEN
With both teams having had strong starts to the season, familiar with one another and with high hopes for 2026, it was always going to be a fascinating contest and in the end the Eagles pulled away from the Warwick Senators in overtime for the 100-94 win.
The Eagles and Senators did play one another only back in Round 3 with East Perth handing Warwick their first loss of the season ahead of the return encounter on Friday night at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.
East Perth were on top most of the night leading by as much as 18 points in the third quarter and still by 14 early in the fourth, but Warwick willed themselves back into the contest to set up a thrilling finish.
In the end, the Senators got a massive late three from Chloe Forster and two clutch free throws from Nat Burton to get the game to overtime, but in the extra five minutes the Eagles took over again with 16 points to 10.
That improved East Perth to 5-1 on the season while still yet to lose at home and having handed the Senators their two lone defeats of 2026.
Up against her former team for the second time in four weeks, Stacey Barr was outstanding for the Eagles with the captain delivering 25 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals with 5/11 three-point shooting.
Two-time championship winner Sarah Mortensen is settling nicely now too and produced 22 points, nine boards, five assists and two steals while going 7/7 at the free-throw line.
Brooke Malone had a significant impact too with the Eagles +11 in her 34 minutes on the court where she finished with 20 points and three rebounds on 6/11 shooting from the field and 8/12 from the free-throw line.
Sydney Wright added 18 points, seven assists and four rebounds on 4/7 shooting from the floor, 2/3 from behind the three-point line and 8/10 from beyond the arc.
Jade Williams also finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and two assists for East Perth with Zaya Black contributing five points, three steals and two assists.
The two teams had lost just once each coming into the match up and had played a terrific battle with one another only back in Round 3, and there was every reason to suggest more of the same this time around.
The Eagles had the better of the opening term on their home floor with superstar pair Stacey Barr and Sarah Mortensen combining for 14 points for their team to be leading 22-15 on the back of shooting 42 per cent from the floor to 30.
The East Perth lead then continued to grow throughout the second quarter and by half-time it was a 15-point advantage with the Eagles shooting a little better going 47 per cent to the 33 from the Senators along with 5/13 from behind the three-point arc to 2/15.
A triple to start the second half saw East Perth's lead out to a game-high 18 points but then Warwick began to work back into the contest and by three quarter-time were only trailing by nine points again.
The Eagles managed to go up 14 again early in the fourth on the back of back-to-back triples from Barr and Mortensen, but then the Senators made their move starting with a three-pointer to Jayda Clark.
She hit another soon after before Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard hit from downtown too, and suddenly with five minutes to play it was just a six-point ball game.
East Perth were still clinging to a six-point lead with two minutes left and then by five when Mortensen made a free-throw with 45 seconds to go.
The offensive rebounds were keeping on giving Warwick chance after chance with them pulling down eight of them in the last quarter. On the back of a three ball from Chloe Forster, it was Nat Burton fouled after a string of massive o-boards.
The Olympian stepped up to make both at the stripe to send the game into overtime and Warwick did have all the momentum going into the extra time.
Clark fouled out, though, early in overtime for Warwick and East Perth were able to find their mojo again to pile on 16 points in those five minutes to secure the six-point win and make it two straight against the Senators this year and to stay undefeated at home in 2026.
MEN
The Eagles had to withstand 17 points in the first quarter from Will Tschetter but got 17 of their own in the third from Jonah Antonio to set them on the path to the 104-82 win over the Warwick Senators.
The two teams were playing for a second time already this season for the Friday night battle at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.
The Eagles were without Lat Mayen for a second straight game while the Senators had added big man Tschetter since that last meeting with him fresh off winning a national championship with Michigan.
He ended up with 29 points and eight rebounds in the first half with the Senators leading by as much as 14 points, but the Eagles worked back into it and then Antonio exploded with 17 points and five three-point bombs in the third quarter.
East Perth never looked back from there romping to the 22-point victory to improve to a 4-2 record on the season and bounce back from last week's heartbreaking loss at the buzzer also at home to the Perry Lakes Hawks.
On the back of that spectacular 17-point third quarter, Antonio finished the game with 34 points, eight rebounds and five assists on the back of shooting 13/22 from the field and 8/15 from behind the arc.
David Okwera had 17 of his 21 points to half-time and also collected 11 rebounds while shooting 3/6 from long-range.
Captain Lee Roberts also had 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Eagles while Bing Huang contributed 11 points, four boards, three assists and two blocks, and Ioannis Dimakopoulos 10 points and two rebounds including going 2/3 from three-point land.
Jermaine Malie also chimed in with six points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds in his 153rd NBL1 game while Steve Weingarten had two points and five rebounds, Kai Kabugua two points, two boards and two assists, and Nick Filpo two points and five assists.
Mitch Benger also scored a late bucket for his first points with the Eagles of the season and since 2021.
The first quarter was all about new Senators big man Will Tschetter who was playing his second NBL1 game after winning a national championship with Michigan.
He had 17 points in the first term to help Warwick to the 28-20 lead by quarter-time with his team shooting 65 per cent from the field to the 40 from East Perth with Lee Roberts leading the way with seven points.
Even with Tschetter having another 12 points in the second quarter to go into half-time with 29 along with eight rebounds, East Perth did manage to outscore Warwick 29 points to 24 to cut their lead by the main break to 52-49.
David Okwera caught fire in that quarter for the Eagles and had 17 points to his name by the half before it was Jonah Antonio's turn to take over the contest in the third quarter.
He scored 17 points in the third quarter alone with five three-pointers in a stunning outburst and on the back of that, the Eagles outscored the Senators 28 points to 19 to take a 77-71 lead into three quarter-time.
The Eagles then dominated the last quarter with 27 points to 11 on the back of shooting 11/22 from the field to just the 4/18 from the Senators to claim the 22-point win after being down 14 early on.
