A member of the Knox All Stars through juniors, Leah Santomaggio has made her name as a shooter throughout every competition she's played in. However, head coach Kennedy Kereama appreciates the hard work she's put in to diversify her game.
"Leah has been working really hard on a number of facets of her game over the past 12 months", explained Kennedy. "Notably, she has come into the program in great shape and her basketball has excelled in all areas for it."
"Leah will provide us with a combo guard who is a knockdown 3pt shooter, finishes at the basket and has become a tough perimeter defender. Her ability to space the floor and stretch defence with her shooting ability will be an important attribute this season.”
Signing on with the Raiders for another season as well is Rachael Quirk. Like Leah, Rachel played at Knox from a young age, competing in our domestic competition with the Saints.
“It’s great to have another local who has come through the program from juniors to NBL1!" said Kennedy.
“Rachael is a welcomed addition that brings us versatility at both ends of the floor. She has great knowledge and high basketball I.Q of the offensive and defensive system we run.”
