South Adelaide Panthers defeated the Southern Tigers 86-61 on Sunday at Morphett Vale Basketball Stadium.
The Panthers dominated from the outset, building a lead that stretched to 25 points at its peak. Chris Brandon led the charge with a game-high 29 points on 58 percent shooting from the field, including a red-hot 3-5 from outside. The Panthers shared the ball efficiently, dishing out 22 assists compared to the Tigers' 12, with Curtis Scott contributing six dimes. South Adelaide's defence was suffocating, forcing 21 turnovers and recording 12 steals.
The Tigers struggled to find their rhythm, shooting just 31 percent from the field and a dismal 18.5 percent from three-point range. Harry Morris led Southern with 15 points and grabbed nine boards, while Jarvis Summers added 12 points. Despite winning the rebounding battle 49-46, Southern couldn't overcome their shooting woes and turnover issues to mount a serious challenge.
