The Lions overcame being behind for most of the contest, trailing for over 34 minutes compared to just 1:21 in the lead. Kevin Baker (18 points, 9 rebounds) was everywhere for Central Districts, while Jack Stanwix controlled the offense with 9 assists. The Lions dominated the glass with a 44-38 rebounding edge and shot an efficient 49.3 percent from the field. Ayual Garang and Efemena Abogidi added 17 points each, with Garang knocking down three triples.
