The referee panel for the Coles Express NBL1 National Final has been selected. With each of the five NBL1 conferences, the NBL, the WNBL and Basketball Australia all nominated referees from across Australia.
A selection committee led by the NBL’s Head of Referees, Scott Butler, selected the panel of 18 referees and six reserves who will officiate the NBL1 National Finals.
The selected panel is aimed at providing the country's best performing and up-and-coming referees a chance to learn from Butler and officiate a major event.
Across the weekend the referees will be evaluated by Butler and his team of referee coaches, with the best performing officials over the first two days selected for the two Championship games on Sunday.
