Claire Blower commits to Selkirk Ballarat Rush

The Selkirk Ballarat Rush have secured Claire Blower ahead of the 2021 NBL1 South Season.

The Selkirk Ballarat Rush have secured Claire Blower ahead of the 2021 NBL1 South Season.

A local product from Ballarat, Blower re-joins the Club after a year away from Basketball having many years of experience representing both the NBL1 and Youth League teams at state level. Blower was excited to be back in Ballarat and was looking forward to getting back on the courts.

"After a year away from basketball and also Ballarat, I am thrilled to return to the Selkirk Ballarat Rush for 2021 and play at the Ballarat Sports Events Centre in the NBL1”

“I am so excited to play under Eric Hayes and Megan Collins again. I have learnt so much and become a more confident player under their guidance over my time with the Rush and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with them and my team-mates.”

Claire Blower is well known in the local Ballarat community and will continue to represent the elite teams program as a key role model for the up and coming juniors.

“I can't wait to get back into the swing of things and give back to the Ballarat community. It will be great to be able to see everyone's smiling faces around the centre again after such a crazy year" Blower ended with.

Selkirk Ballarat Rush Committee Member Lynly Doherty was thrilled to see Blower return to Ballarat.

“We are excited to have Claire return after a short break to focus on work commitments. Claire will provide us with a strong presence around the basket at both ends of the court.” Doherty said.

Claire Blower is the second Selkirk Ballarat Rush player announced alongside Alicia Froling ahead of the 2021 NBL1 South Season.
