There were NBL1 Central wins for the Norwood Flames, Southern Tigers, South Adelaide Panthers, West Adelaide Bearcats and North Adelaide Rockets.

Allysyn Becki had a triple double, Holly Forbes 24 points and 18 rebounds, Bianca Stasinowsky 26 points and Chloe Hodges 26 points in NBL1 Central wins for the Norwood Flames, Southern Tigers, South Adelaide Panthers, West Adelaide Bearcats and North Adelaide Rockets.

Norwood Flames (85) defeated Sturt Sabres (74)

All five Norwood Flames starters scored in double figures as they made it three straight wins and ended the three-game winning run of the Sturt Sabres with the 85-74 victory.

The season resumed and the Flames were at home at The ARC having won their past two games to consolidate themselves in a finals place while the Sabres were still sitting second having won their last three after their lone two losses of 2026.

It was a fast start from Norwood with 26 points to 14 in the first quarter and then the Flames remained on top the rest of the way to build up a 22-point lead in the second frame, and 23 in the third.

Norwood then completed the 11-point victory in the finish to make it three straight wins to improve to an 8-5 record while the Sabres are now 10-3 having lost three of their previous six matches.

The Flames finished the night shooting 49 per cent from the field to 31 from the Sabres along with hitting 12/26 from downtown to 8/26, and they won while overcoming conceding 15 offensive rebounds to Sturt and having 25 turnovers themselves.

Maddy Hinton ended up delivering 20 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals while Amy Cotton contributed 16 points, five boards, two assists and two blocked shots, and Caitlin Shillabeer 14 points on 4/6 three-point shooting.

Cali Clark also had 13 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals with Allysyn Becki adding 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to deliver a triple double in the big win for Norwood.

Tayla Brazel top scored for Sturt with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists with Paige Padroth contributing 19 points, nine boards, six steals and four assists despite shooting 3/18 from the floor. She did make 12/14 at the free-throw line.

Nicola Mathews added 10 points, three rebounds and two assists, Mia Walker-Roberts seven points and two boards, and Nicola Mathews 10 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Forestville Eagles (63) lost to Southern Tigers (70)

Holly Forbes and Jhaz Joson combined for 46 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Southern Tigers to the 70-63 road win over the Forestville Eagles to keep their finals prospects alive.

The two teams locked horns at the State Basketball Centre with Forestville coming off a win against the South Adelaide Panthers while the Tigers were coming off a loss to the Norwood Flames.

It was scorching start on the road from the Tigers going on a 10-0 run in the first quarter on the way to a 13-point lead, but Forestville responded and even found themselves in front in the second period.

The Tigers were back leading 34-30 by half-time and then got out to a 14-point lead in the second half on the way to securing the seven-point win to improve to a 6-7 record to stay in the finals mix.

Holly Forbes delivered 24 points, 18 rebounds and three steals for the Tigers on 8/10 shooting from the field, 2/3 from downtown and 6/8 at the free-throw line.

Jhaz Joson added 22 points and four rebounds, Mollie McKendrick 12 points, 12 boards and four assists, and Rosie Williamson three points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

The Eagles are now 7-6 following the defeat with Ella Sawyer finishing with 16 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals, Sydney Hunter 12 points, nine boards and two steals, and Sarah Boothe 11 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Gabi Vidmar also had 11 points, seven steals, four rebounds and four assists, and Jess Simons 11 points and six rebounds.

North Adelaide Rockets (90) defeated Central Districts Lions (82)

The North Adelaide Rockets made it consecutive wins for the first time this season with the 90-82 home win against the Central Districts Lions.

The Rockets were back home at The Lights fresh off a big last up win against the Eastern Mavericks with Central Districts coming off losing to the Sturt Sabres following last week's break.

North Adelaide made a flying start going on a 14-0 run in the first quarter to be leading by 11 but it was just a three-point advantage by quarter-time.

Central Districts then had 25 points to 23 in the second frame before the Rockets took control in the third term going on another 10-0 run to open up a 19-point advantage before holding out the Lions for the eight-point victory.

It's consecutive wins for North Adelaide who improve to a 3-10 record with Briarley Rogers finishing with 21 points, four assists and two rebounds on 5/8 three-point shooting.

Jordyn Freer also had 15 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals, Sarah Warner 15 points, three boards and two assists, Maddy Freer 11 points and three steals, and Abbey Jones 10 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots.

Centrals are now 3-10 as well as a result of the loss with Jewel Watkins ending up with 27 points, six rebounds and two steals with Tiahna Sears contributing 11 points and three boards, Emily Winter nine points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Alana Howden nine points, four steals and three assists.

South Adelaide Panthers (87) defeated Woodville Warriors (78)

Bianca Stasinowsky put up 26 points with seven three-pointers to help the South Adelaide Panthers get back to the winner's list with the 87-78 win against the Woodville Warriors.

South Adelaide were back home at Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre having lost their past three games to have slipped from the top five while the Warriors came into the match up also having lost their past two to just be clinging to fifth place.

Woodville were leading by two points at quarter-time before 30 points to 24 from the Panthers to see the home team head into the half-time break on top 46-42.

South Adelaide continued to build on that advantage through the second half leading by as much as 12 points on the way to the nine-point win to see them improve to a 7-6 record as a result.

Bianca Stasinowsky put up 26 points and four rebounds in the win for the Panthers with 7/10 three-point shooting while Keira Gardiner added 11 points, five boards and two assists.

Aimee Brett added 10 points, three assists and two steals, Daisy Hocking nine points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals, Bella Stratford eight points and three assists, and Hannah Gardiner eight points and two rebounds.

Woodville are now 7-6 and having lost three in-a-row as the reigning champions with Ambah Kowcun top scoring with 18 points and five rebounds with 3/4 three-point shooting.

Naomi Allotey also had 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals with Shamah Yak contributing 15 points, three boards and two assists, Brittany Hodges 11 points and eight rebounds, and Eliza Joynes 10 points and three boards.

West Adelaide Bearcats (120) defeated Eastern Mavericks (49)

Despite an impressive start from newly arrived import Madi Torresin, the West Adelaide Bearcats flexed their muscles once more for the massive 120-49 home win against the Eastern Mavericks.

It was top against bottom at Port Adelaide Recreation Centre with the Bearcats putting their undefeated record on the line against the bottom placed Mavs who were on a 10-game losing slide.

The Mavericks did add Torresin into the line-up with the Canadian left-hander having had previous NBL1 stints with the Rockhampton Cyclones and East Perth Eagles.

She started well too knocking down her first shot of the game from beyond the arc in her first game since back on March 29 in Sweden and she did deliver 15 first half points for the Mavericks.

The only problem was that help was in short supply and the Bearcats were already leading by 15 points by quarter-time and then went into half-time on top 62-31.

It was another 58 points to 18 in the second half from West Adelaide as they improved to a 13-0 record with Morgan Yaeger delivering 30 points, three assists and three steals on 4/6 shooting from behind the arc.

Chloe Hodges also had 26 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists, Coco Hodges 13 points, eight boards, five assists and two steals, Alex Ciabattoni 13 points, three rebounds, two steals and two steals, and Sienna Lehmann 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Ashlee Strawbridge also had eight points, six assists and five rebounds, and Molly Coleman eight points and five boards.

The Mavericks have now lost 11 straight to be 1-12 with Torresin finishing with 16 points, six rebounds and two assists with Annaliese Watkinson adding 12 points, and Bella Schaftenaar seven points and three rebounds.
