The Central Highlands Water Ballarat Miners Rush Youth Weekly Review by Head Coaches.

On Saturday night 20th March, we headed down to Sandringham to play the Sabres for our second game of the season.
This was another close contest, similar to last week, with multiple lead changes and ties throughout the whole game. However this time we came up with the clutch plays in the 4th quarter to win by 6 points 87-81. It was exciting for the team to win their first game in the Championship division.
It was a great team effort, with some strong performances from Broden Collins who was dominant in the post shooting a highly efficient 75% from the field to finish with 26 points and Zac Dunmore who was aggressive at the offensive end utilising his speed to get to the rim on a consistent basis.

Broden Collins was the MVP for the Central Highlands Water Ballarat Miners Youth.

The weekend saw us playing a double header as Sunday, we headed down the freeway again to play our second match against McKinnon, Unfortunately we were unable to back up from our win the night before and were never really in this match against a hot shooting McKinnon team, eventually going down 89-80.
This was a game with lots of learning experiences for us as a group and there were lessons we'll be able to take away and grow from and use for the rest of the season.

Our Central Highlands Water Ballarat Rush Youth also made their way down to Sandringham to play the Sabres.

It was a close contest for our girls which unfortunately saw us go down by two points 72-70. Despite the result the team showed some really promosing signs with some learning experiences to take away for training and help us into round 3.

Overall a team effort, with a strong scoring performance by Taylah Wynne shooting 23 points as well as Millie Cracknell with 15 points, 9 Rebounds & Annie Collins 14 points, 7 rebounds.
