Cavaliers Re-Sign Coaching Duo

The Casey Cavaliers have announced the re-signing of women’s head coach Joe Turner and men’s head coach Luke Kendall for the NBL1 South 2027 season.

Turner will return for his third season leading the Cavaliers’ women’s program after guiding Casey to sixth place in 2026 with a 14-8 record. The Cavaliers earned an opening-weekend finals bye before their campaign ended with a 67-62 overtime loss to Waverley, having entered the game without league MVP Dallas Loughridge and Sharne Robati. Turner has more than a decade of coaching experience across SEABL, Victorian Championship and Australian Championship programs.

Kendall will also enter his third season at Casey after leading the Cavaliers’ men to ninth position with a 12-10 record in 2026. Casey qualified for the finals but was eliminated following a 99-91 loss to defending champions Sandringham. A former Australian Boomer and NBL championship player, Kendall has also held assistant coaching roles with the Sydney Kings and South East Melbourne Phoenix.
