Castec Rural Pioneers International Signing | Clevon Brown

In great news for the Castec Rural Pioneers, international player, Clevon Brown has arrived in Mount Gambier to join the Pioneers.

Two hundred and three centimetre (6 foot 8 inch) and 105 kilograms, twenty-three year-old Brown is a power forward from San Antonio, Texas.  He has been playing in the strong US College league for Vanderbilt University.

In the 2021-22 season, Brown averaged 8 points per game shooting at 50% from the floor together with 5 rebounds per game.  Brown will add size and strength to the currently undefeated Pioneers roster.

The Castec Rural Pioneers Head Coach Richard Hill can’t wait to have Brown hit the floor at the Ice House and has commenced working with him.    

“Clevon is highly recommended and looks a perfect fit for our style of play.

He arrives after a 5-year college career and is eager to start his pro career.  He is a long, athletic and skilful player who will give us much needed interior assistance.

I am really looking forward to having Clevon hit the floor with our group,” Hill said.

The Castec Rural Pioneers and the OneFortyOne Pioneers are both leading their respective competitions in the NBL1 South League and play second placed Geelong Supercats in a not to be missed top of the table clash this Friday night at the Ice House.
