The confidence that is instilled in myself and the team from all coaches involved has inspired me to continue my career.”
Brooks added, “It is well known that Ballarat has one of the best communities and deepest roots in basketball across Victoria and Australia as a whole and being a local player I truly love having the opportunity to give back to a club that has given me so much.”
Ballarat Miners Men’s head Coach Luke Sunderland said “It was great to get Amos back in the Miners colours last season and this off-season he has really stepped up his work ethic and is getting back to his form from his Youth League and College seasons.”
Sunderland added, “Like Jordan Lingard, Amos was very productive for us last season and there is going to be a lot more opportunity for him to build off of his role in 2023.”
Ballarat Miners Elite Teams committee Chair Nathan Oldaker said, “We are thrilled to have Amos back for 2023, he is a product of our pathway and after a big preseason with the team, we are excited to see what her can put on the floor.”
Brooks is the seventh Miners Men’s player announced for the 2023 NBL1 South season behind Nic Pozoglou, Zac Dunmore, Jordan Lingard, Max Cody and American Imports Tyler Rudolph, and Jack Davidson.
