Big Tasmanian Double Header for Ballarat

This weekend the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush travel south to Tasmania for a Double Header on Friday and Saturday Nights in Round 2 of the NBL1 South.

Selkirk Ballarat Rush Player Alicia Froling was looking forward to traveling with the teams to Tasmania.

"Really excited, we had a really good win on the weekened, with good energy. It's a tough road trip but we're all keen to get out there and get some wins" Froling said.

"Yeah for sure, we have three big road trips and after this weekend we'll have two out of the way, it's good to get team bonding on these trips, hotel together and bussing together and so I don't think it's a bad thing at all" Froling said.

RINALDI TO PLAY 300th GAME IN TASMANIA 

For the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners Head Coach Brendan Joyce was thrilled to welcome big man Jock Perry to the team this weekend fresh from overseas.

"We are really excited to obtain Jock as he is coming off a great year at college starting for UC Riverside and averaging 11 points & 5 rebounds. He is going to bring some much needed height to the team along with some sharp shooting for a 7 footer" Joyce said.
