The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the return of Ben Geel for the 2023 NBL1 West season.
At 19 years old, this will be Ben’s second NBL1 season with the Pack. As a young and exciting talent, Ben continues to show significant strides in development of his overall game. Ben is a valuable asset to our team, and we look forward to witnessing his continued growth!
This is what Ben had to say about his signing:
“I’m very excited to be back with the Wolfpack. We have got a great young core and I want to build on the strong culture we created last season. Wolfpack fans are the greatest in the league and I’m looking forward to getting back to playing in front of them.”
NBL1 Head Coach David Morrell had this to say about Bens’ signing:
“We are very pleased to welcome back Ben Geel to The Pack. You’ve got to love it when you can keep Wolves juniors around long-term, and we hope to have Ben around for a long time. Ben grew so much last year, he physically grew a few inches, he got more athletic, he improved his skill, especially his footwork and the ability get penetration off the dribble; he got smarter and more mature as a player.
As a young player, it’s still all about development with him, and seeing where he can get to; I think that Ben can be really good. I’m excited to have him get back to work with him for another season.
Ben joins team-mates CJ Turnage, Jordan Wellsteed, Jonathan Wade, Gabe Chadinha, Bryan Michaels and Brody England for the 2023 NBL1 West season.
