This weekend the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush travel to New South Wales to take on the Albury Wodonga Bandits in Round 1 of the NBL1 South.

Selkirk Ballarat Rush Player Alicia Froling was looking forward to the first game in New South Wales after no NBL1 South in 2020.

"Obviously just getting to know each other, it's challenging we haven't played in over a year but just getting back into basketball, sprinting the floor, getting through our offenses, we're an aggressive team that can run so we've been focusing on that." Froling said.

For the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners Zac Dunmore can't wait to get onto the court when the teams travels to the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre.

"Yeah I think everyone is pretty excited, we've been looking forward to it for a while, ready to play and super excited"

Dunmore said the hit out against Mount Gambier in last weekends Battle of the West was perfect run into the first round this weekend.

"Coming out of it, our team chemistry is really good, we haven't really spent to much time together like I said and I think we've really gelled well together and so we're ready" Dunmore ended with.
