Ballarat 59 - Kilsyth 100
Unfortunately, injuries and availability hurt us a bit in this one. The Ballarat Youth Miners presented with a very young lineup and missed a few girls who stepped up to play in the NBL1. Despite this, we fought extremely hard all game and played some great basketball in patches. Kilsyth we're just a bit too strong and we're able to score heavily.
Layla Iglesias & Indya Hayes again was fantastic for us and we also had some very promising signs with contributions from our younger players.
Ballarat Miners Youth Men
Ballarat 78 - Keilor 76
It was another great road win for the Ballarat Youth Men! Keilor bought the energy early and with our boys starting slowly it took a big team effort in the second quarter for the Miners to be back in the game by halftime.
The second half was a tight matchup with both teams having swings in momentum however the Miners were able to hit the lead for the first time in the game with just over 2 minutes left and held on for a close victory.
Dyami Hays lead the way offensively with 27 points while Bailey Jacobs backed Dyami up well with a solid double-double.
