Two days of incredible basketball over the weekend saw the Ballarat Miners Junior Under 16 & Under 18 teams converged to Bendigo for the 2022 Country Championships. Our teams fought hard and played some fantastic team basketball throughout and despite falling short for the championship in each grade, there were many positives from the weekend, especially the team’s resilience to compete and never give in.

Elite Team Administrator Glenn White was really pleased with how the junior teams conducted themselves.

"Well done to all the Ballarat Junior Miners who competed across the weekend, without having a Director of Coaching in place since starting back in September our coaches have been left to their own devices, and together with all that at competed over the weekend have done Ballarat proud. To have 4 teams finish in the top 4 at Country Championships is a great result." White said

We also had a number of referee representatives take the court in Bendigo this weekend in what is both an outstanding opportunity and achievement. Congratulations to the  Ballarat referees.
