The Ballarat Miners will continue their commitment to health and hydration, extending their partnership as Choose Tap Ambassadors with Central Highlands Water (CHW).

The Ballarat Miners have long been vocal about the importance of easy access to water, when practicing, playing or out in the community.

Basketball Ballarat’s Partnership Manager, Melissa Thomas, was thrilled to see the support from CHW continue.

“The Ballarat Miners have had a long-standing partnership with Central Highlands Water and we are excited to continue this across the next 2 seasons, as Choose Taps Ambassadors” Ms Thomas said.

“As part of joint commitment, Basketball Ballarat, and the Ballarat Miners, will be choosing tap at training, on game day and in the community by drinking from our Central Highlands Water Choose Tap reusable drinking bottles” she said.

CHW Board Chair, Angeleen Jenkins highlighted the many benefits the Choose Tap Ambassador program offers.

“Working closely with the Ballarat Miners around the benefits of drinking tap water, helps us extend awareness of the benefits of hydration and having a balanced and active lifestyle across the broader community,” Ms Jenkins said.

“With 5 fountains located across Selkirk Stadium, there is great accessibility for players, coaches and spectators to stay hydrated, while also focusing on sustainability and reducing single-use plastic waste by refilling drink bottles.”

The Ballarat Miners will continue to stock CHW reusable stainless-steel drink bottles in their merchandise store at Selkirk Stadium, as part of the Choose Tap program. All sales of these bottles are donated to local charity, WRISC Family Violence support.
