Ballantyne, Hamilton return to Hawks in NBL1 West

The Perry Lakes Hawks have re-signed Morgan Ballantyne (women) and Cooper Hamilton (men) for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

Ballantyne enters the 2021 campaign after playing 26 senior games with the Hawks. The talented youngster has represented Western Australian at the Australian Junior Championships in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, and captained the U20 2017 team.

She joins Annika Renkema, Nat Burton, Megan McKay, Maddy Dennis and Millie McCarthy on Perry Lakes’ women’s roster for 2021.

A Hawks junior, Hamilton is set to reach the 100-game milestone this season as he enters the campaign with 93 senior appearances next to his name. He represented Western Australia in the Australian Junior Championships in 2011, 2015 and 2017, and averaged 12.4 points for Perry Lakes in the 2020 West Coast Classic.

Hamilton joins Ben Purser, Rob Cassir, Andrew Ferguson, Lewis Thomas and Ryan Smith on the Hawks’ 2021 roster.
