AUSTIN “AUSSIE” SHELLEY RE-SIGNED NBL1 SOUTH 2025

Austin (Aussie) Shelley has put pen to paper and will return for his third season with the Castec Rural Supplies Pioneers.

Last years Defensive Player of the year for the Pioneers has been developing his game in the off-season as a training player with the Cairns Taipans Austin has continued to work on his defensive game, guarding high level guards whilst running the second unit in training
in the absence of injured rostered players.

“I’m really excited to see the development of Aussie, he is a tremendously talented and committed young man who is hungry for team and individual success” Head Coach Richard Hill said

Austin is coming off a season where he averaged an impressive 12.6 points 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists for our regular season champion Pioneers. Throw in his 38% three point shooting and 1.5 steals pg and its easy to see why he is so highly valued here in Mount Gambier.
