Akim Lual Re-Signs with the Wolfpack

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the return of Akim Lual for the 2023 NBL1 West season.

Akim is a versatile forward who adds great depth and size to the team. A tenacious rebounder and defensive anchor, we look forward to seeing Akim bring a defensive spark in the 2023 NBL1 season.

When asked about her signing, Akim said:

“Re-signing with the Wolves for 2023 was a no brainer, I have loved and felt so welcome in my first year. The culture of the team, the club and the community are unmatched. Marcus really is a coach like no other, for his knowledge, and commitment to the game. Marcus develops not only the skills of his players, but the culture of his team which is truly amazing. I can’t wait to be back in green.”

Women’s Head Coach of the Year Marcus Wong had this to say:

“It is great to have Akim back as she brings depth to our squad with a fantastic ability to rebound the ball and defend inside the paint. After a year back in the league from injury she will be better off, and I expect her to have a real impact in 2023.

Akim will join Nes’eya Parker-Williams, Robbi Ryan, Teige Morrell and Shani Amos for the 2023 NBL1 West season.
