2023 NBL1 West - Game Review 13

The Wolfpack women improve to 13-2 for the NBL1 West season!

For round 13 of the 2023 NBL1 West season, the Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves took on the Perth Redbacks at Belmont Oasis.

Game MVP Izzy Miotti had an electric performance off the bench with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists on 82% shooting. Star center Teige Morrell impressed with 28 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocks on 87% shooting, leading the team to a 96-70 victory and fourth consecutive win.

Emma Klasztorny and Robbi Ryan impacted the game on both ends with a combined 27 points, 9 assists and 4 steals in the game. It was great to see players Akim Lual, Laniesha Paddon and Olivia Basso hit the floor in the fourth quarter. Akim Lual had 2 points and 2 steals in 4 minutes of game time.

A great team win for the Wolfpack! This Saturday we take on defending National Champions, the Warwick Senators.

The Wolves men battle in a gritty win against the Perth Redbacks

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves were hungry for a win against the Perth Redbacks after losing to them in round 4 at home. The Wolves fought hard for all 40 minutes, fighting for a well-deserved win.

The Wolves connected in a huge 34-point second quarter led by Quintin Dove, who delivered a very efficient 17 points of his own from across the floor and free throw line. CJ Turnage attacked the rim with deadly precision, converting 78% of his attempts from 2-point range for the game. Bryan Michaels and Christian Jurlina combined for 7/13 on three pointers, including back-to-back makes by Christian in the fourth quarter which helped to keep the distance from the opposition.

Gabe Chadinha had 3 steals in the game, being a defensive spark off the bench. Game MVP Quintin Dove ended the game with 30 points. CJ Turnage finished with 25 points, 6 rebounds and Bryan Michaels finished with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the 97-95 victory.
