Ringwood Junior Domestic Competition
Our Junior Saturday Competition is the largest program affiliated with Ringwood Basketball Association and is held on Saturdays for players aged 7 to 22. Competitions for Under 10's and upwards are part of the Greater Eastern Basketball Conference, a joint initiative between Ringwood Basketball Association and Melbourne East Basketball Association Junior Saturday Competitions. x
Competitions operate from early morning to early evening at two major venues - our own four court venue known at the Rings, and the five-court facility at Nunawading Basketball Centre. Teams affiliated with the Ringwood Basketball Association generally play their home games at the Rings Stadium. Some away games are also played at Forest Hill Secondary College and other satellite venues.
We currently cater for boys and girls ranging in age from 7 to 22 years from various independent clubs in our area, including the Spirit Magic, Heathmont Hornets, Ringwood Celtics and Mitcham Thunder.
Players competing with clubs in our domestic competition are eligible for selection for Ringwood Hawks teams in our Junior Representative program, where they get to represent our Association against teams representing other Associations in Victoria at an elite level. Players competing at the Representative level are eligible for State and National selection.
Players wishing to play in the domestic program can do so by joining one the competing clubs.
