| The Ulverstone Sports & Leisure Centre is an indoor multi-sport venue located on the Leven River in Ulverstone, Tasmania. The facility was expanded with a new multi-use indoor stadium that linked the two existing basketball courts to accommodate an international standard of basketball. The flexible space has retractable seating for more than 1000 spectators and can accommodate most indoor sports. It incorporates change facilities, canteen and corporate dining/bar facilities that link the new and old venues. The lantern-like structure on the roof is illuminated to create a lighthouse effect in the evening while allowing controlled natural light to flood the court area throughout the day. The venue is home to NBL1 team NW Thunder and the NWBU, Ulverstone Redhoppers Baksetball Club. Kiosk with eftpos card facilities. |
